TERMS OF REFERENCE : It is charged with securing the maintenance of an adequate and efficient police force. TERMS OF REFERENCE : To provide an adequate and efficient Probation Service in Northern Ireland. TERMS OF REFERENCE : To provide residential accommodation at Rathgael and Lisnevin Training Schools for children found guilty of offences and given custodial sentences. It is also responsible for community provision at Whitefield House and the Applied Psychology and Research Unit (APRU).
