Rural Crime

Crime is an issue of increased concern to people who live and work in rural areas. We are committed to tackling crime in rural communities and in 1996 intend to mount a study to assess crime in rural areas and its impact on local people. Particular attention will be given to innovative ways of tackling local crime, especially drug and alcohol-related crime, that committed by young people and by people who live outwith rural areas.
