THE SCOTTISH RURAL PARTNERSHIP
We are determined now to give power to the concept of partnership in rural areas. The basic elements are in place, with the growing consensus in rural communities on what needs to be done, the establishment of devolved working by many national agencies, decentralisation by the new councils and the national Rural Focus Group. We propose to bring these together in a new Scottish Rural Partnership. This will have three main components:
